Artist: Nick Nola
Genre: RnB /African Urban / Fusion
Age: 26

At the core of all his music you will recognize that Nick Nola is an RnB artist though he also cleverly teases his limits with other genres… Hip Hop, Dancehall and Zouk. It is no wonder that his fans crowned him Uganda’s King of RnB Fusion. And because of a string of successful collaborations with other musicians of various genres, in songs such as Mother Africa, Dusk til Dawn, Brand New Day, Nkoye Okulinda, Sembera and I Love the Way, some in the media in Uganda have given him the title of King of Collabos.

After several musical achievements in his youth, Nick Nola’s professional career began in his teens and shortly before the release of the award winning Mother Africa in which he shared the hook with Qute Kaye as part of the original Hip Hop Canvas 2005 which was made of a number of then soon-to-be Ugandan Music household names, such as GNL. He sang on numerous hooks on Hip Hop songs over the years while also releasing successful solos such as Habiba, Nkusiimye and Aliwa. It is this musical diversity than won him a contract to be managed and sponsored by Uganda Entertainment and News media house UGPulse at the end of 2009 when they recognized a talent that needed support.

Since joining UGPulse management Nick Nola has been working on his debut album which is currently scheduled for release by end of 2011. The Nick Nola Honey Moon album is an international project with various producers from Swangz Ave, GoodEnuf, Producer Allan, Producer Washington, Henry Kiwuwa, and French producer Young Pulse who in addition to producing some of the tracks, is also responsible for putting on any final touch ups to all the mixes as he works on the album from studios in Washington, DC and Paris.

From the album Nick Nola has released I Love the Way and Marianna which are both doing well, most notably in Uganda, and in London within the African Diaspora communities and Nick’s music has been played on the BBC throughout 2011.
